Setting VIP Plus desktop phone as the default application

You can set the VIP Plus Desktop Phone as the default application on your computer if you are using the desktop-installed version of the application. When activated, calls will be automatically made via VIP Plus Desktop Phone whenever you click on a phone number link on your computer.
To set VIP Plus Desktop Phone as the default application, follow these steps:
- Log in to the VIP Plus user interface
- Select “Settings” at the bottom left
- From the menu that opens, choose “Applications”
- In the desktop app view, select the installation package depending on your computer’s operating system
- Install VIP Plus Desktop Phone (the application is called ConnectMe)
- On your computer, open your default applications settings
- Find ConnectMe application in the list
- Open ConnectMe and select “Set up tel: and callto: handling”
- Set ConnectMe as the default application
You log in to the VIP Plus Desktop Phone with the same credentials you use for other VIP Plus user interfaces. If your company uses SSO (Single Sign-On), you may also log in to the desktop phone with SSO.
