Recording a call and stopping the recording

Call recording is an add-on feature of the Telia VIP Plus service. It allows you to record calls automatically. Alternatively, you can start the recording manually while the call is in progress. If your company has enabled this add-on, your calls may be recorded. You can check with your company’s VIP Plus administrator to find out whether call recording is enabled and whether your calls are being recorded.

There are two different call recording options:
•    All calls are recorded automatically, and call recording can be stopped if necessary.
•    Call recording is started and stopped manually.

This guide describes how you can start and stop call recording.

Starting and stopping call recording

When manual call recording is in use, the recording must be started while the call is in progress. The recording will cover the entire call from the beginning, even if you start recording in the middle of the call. If needed, you can stop the recording and continue recording again later during the same call. The call is not recorded during the stop.

In the mobile app

  1. Open the mobile app while on a call.
  2. Swipe right and select the Call menu.
  3. Start recording the call by selecting the rec. button.
  4. Stop call recording by selecting the pause button.

On a VIP Plus user interface

  1. While on a call, start recording by selecting "Save recording." If manual recording is in use, the call will be recorded from the beginning when you select "Save recording."
  2. If you want to stop call recording (for example, when exchanging confidential information), select Stop recording. You can resume recording by selecting Continue recording. There will be a call recording, but there will be silence in the recording during the stop.
  3. You can cancel the creation of a call recording in the Call Recording add-on by pressing "Cancel recording."
