IP Transit solutions

With our IP Transit service, we provide domestic and international internet connections for service providers, enterprises, and other organizations. IP Transit is a good solution if your organization has an AS (Autonomous System) number of its own and if you administer the set of IP addresses used in your network. We provide the domestic connections through our IP backbone network, which is the largest in Finland.

The international connections, in turn, we provide through Arelion’s global Tier1 IP backbone network, which is the largest in Europe and among the largest in the world. You can connect your own network to our network from any access point anywhere in Finland with an Ethernet connection.

IP Transit service features

IP Transit tailored for your needs

With Global Transit, you gain connectivity to all IP networks connected to the internet. If you require reliable connections within Finland, choose National Transit, which enables connectivity to all Finnish IP networks. With Local Transit, you gain access to other Telia internet customer networks.

Select the capacity you need

You can select the capacity of your Transit connection between 100 Mbit/s and 10 Gbit/s and adjust the bandwidth as your needs change.

Multihoming and DDoS Protection

Our IP Transit service supports Multihoming functionality as well as DDoS protection. This ensures seamless connectivity even during potential denial-of-service attacks. Our Network Operations Center is available 24/7, every day of the year.

Peering Connections

We also provide Peering connectivity at FICIX (Finnish Communication and Internet Exchange Association) exchange points. For private peering arrangements, we follow peering policy (PDF).
