Base Station Connections
Telia’s base station connection services provide solutions for implementing transmission connections (backhaul) for mobile network base station sites. We offer both L2 Ethernet point-to-multipoint capacity and optical point-to-point fiber access solutions.
With the Ethernet Backhaul service, we provide nationwide capacity connections up to 10 Gbit/s within the broad availability offered by our network. Ethernet connections can also include optional phase synchronization (PTP) in accordance with the G.8275.1 standard.
An optical base station connection provides a fiber-optic link to the base station from the nearest access point in the customer’s own network, where availability exists through Telia’s fiber network.
