Energy-Efficient Networks

Energy matters are familiar to us due to our ambitious climate goals. We are committed to significant actions to mitigate climate change. Our goal is to achieve net zero emissions across our entire value chain by 2040. Our targets are approved by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi), meaning they are based on scientific research and aligned with the Paris Climate Agreement.

100 % Renewable Energy

We use electricity produced with 100 % renewable energy. Telia has been awarded an ISO 14001-based environmental management system certificate and an ISO 50001 energy management system certificate for all its business operations in Finland. We continuously improve our energy efficiency through various development projects. We have managed to keep the growth of our electricity consumption moderate despite the increase in data usage.

Telia has extensive fixed networks as well as 4G and 5G networks in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, and Lithuania. We also provide connections in Latvia. We utilize international IP networks, such as Arelion’s network, to offer global connections. We rely only on trusted, high-quality, and secure partners. Thanks to our roaming services, customers of other operators can use Telia’s mobile network, and Telia’s customers get seamless connections abroad.
